Brenda Lee Beal

Brenda Lee (Cottrell) Beal, 78, passed from this life on May 23, 2025 at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon, Indiana. Brenda was born on December 21, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William L. Sr. and Artie Cottrell.
Brenda graduated from Fern Creek High School in 1964. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines chorus and brought joy to countless performances. Brenda was a KY Colonel, honored for her contributions. She worked for CSX Transportation for 40 years where she developed many lasting friendships and met the love of her life, John P. Beal.
Brenda was a member of the Mandarin United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, FL. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, John P. Beal; daughters, Twila Devore (Dale), Kristie Harris (Scott); grandchildren: Ashley, John, Amy, Brittany, Lyndsey, Melissa; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Robin Cottrell Oakley; brother, David Cottrell (Mitzi); and 4 nieces.
A celebration of life service will be held on June 21, 2025 at 1 PM at Unity Chapel Church in Ramsey, Indiana.

Brenda and John were great neighbors from our first day in St Augustine. They came bearing gifts of bread and. Brownies and we shared many happy times together. Blessings to all the family and of course John.
