Carol Converse

Carol M. Converse, 82, formally of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away on December 29, 2024 in South Bend, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Doris A. Burkhardt. Carol was born on November 19, 1942.
Surviving are her daughter, Laura L. Converse and husband William C. Staab of South Bend, Indiana, 2 nieces and 2 nephews and their extended families in Michigan.
Carol is perceeded in death by her mother, Doris A. Burkhardt, son, Mark V. C. Nation, x- husband, Peter H. Nation, and nephew John P. Converse.
Carol had a love for reading books and listening to and attending operas at the Kalamazoo 10 Theatre. One of her favorite operas was the Mikado which she never tired of attending. Carol had bold and bright taste in her colors and wallpapers and it showed in her decorating choices at her office and residence in Kalamazoo. Carol had the same taste in her wardrobe collection. She was always watching PBS and MSNBC to quench her thirst of knowledge.
Carol had a successful career as a lawyer in Kalamazoo where she practiced Criminal and Defense Law. She was a court appointment attorney with the Michigan State Bar.
