Colby Joseph Hoyt

Colby Joseph Hoyt, born on November 6, 1971, passed away on December 10, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Sue (Payne) Hoyt and Richard Gerald Hoyt, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Colby is survived by his son, Cayden Joseph Wade Hoyt; his grandson, Cartier Joseph Calvin Gough; and his brothers, Richard Gerald Hoyt II and Robert Lee Hoyt. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Colby earned his GED and later pursued an associate degree in business. He expressed his creativity through his passion for drawing and tattooing. Colby cherished spending time with his son, often dining at their local Chili’s restaurant. During Cayden’s childhood, they shared many joyful moments riding bikes, engaging in Nerf wars, and playing basketball together.
A sign displayed in Colby’s home reflected his resilient spirit: “Tough Times Don’t Last, Tough People Do!”
Arrangements for Colby’s interment are being handled by Magnolia Cremations in Jeffersonville, IN. No formal services are planned.
May Colby’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.

Met Colby when we were 14yrs old and instantly became best friends. We went through those tough times together back to back. Boys school, Westville(gladiator school), The Reformatory, Miami…our friendship never falters and we became those tough souls togeher…..Miss you my Brother.
