Donald "Spanky" Skaggs

Donald "Spanky" Skaggs, 65, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away on February 23, 2025. Born on May 31, 1959, to Kenneth and Virginia Skaggs, Donald was a hardworking man who found joy in fishing, hunting, and working on the farm.

He is survived by his children: Sam Skaggs (Amy) of Henderson, Kentucky, Chris Skaggs of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Johanna McClain (Brandon) of Anderson, Indiana. Donald was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Alyssa, Alex, Tanya, McKenzie, Wyatt, William, and Cora. He is also survived by his brothers, David Skaggs (Ronda) of Corydon, Kentucky, and Keith Skaggs of Evansville, Indiana, as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.

He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tanya Skaggs; his parents, Kenneth and Virginia Skaggs; and his sister, Susan Bentley.

Donald graduated from Henderson County High School and carried his love for the outdoors throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
