Fann Lewis

Fann Lewis, 88, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on October 10, 2024. A woman of immense talent and grace, Fann was a devoted mother, sister, and beloved friend. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Wheeler; her sister, Thetus Smith; and her brother, Tom Herndon. Fann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom Lewis, her parents, Minerva McCraw and Grover Herndon, and three sisters and two brothers.
Fann lived a rich and full life, defined by her passion for the arts and a deep love for learning. She earned her B.A. from Western Kentucky University and went on to receive an M.A. from Eastern Kentucky University. Her academic pursuits took her around the world, studying at prestigious institutions such as the University of Bordeaux in France, McGill University in Canada, and the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Fluent in French, Fann lived in Paris for several years, immersing herself in the culture she so adored.
An accomplished classical pianist, Fann's music brought joy to those around her. In her free time, she practiced Chi Gong, loved bicycling through her favorite trails, and could often be found curled up with a mystery novel in hand. Fann's intellect, artistic spirit, and gentle presence touched everyone she met. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
