Lea Marie Duncan-Boxley

Lea Marie Duncan-Boxley was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 14, 1958 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was raised by her Mother Bobbie Mae Martin and she loved her Father David Duncan dearly.

Lea attended Scott High School, home of the bulldogs. During her years of college in Michigan she studied for a degree in Radiology. She also enjoyed acting classes as well as art. She proudly claimed Detroit as her hometown. Lea loved cooking, especially making her favorite African Green dish. She absolutely loved to watch great films including Lord of the Rings and Planet of the Apes. She collected many movies to watch in her spare time as well as with her family. Lea loved passionately and it made her heart glad to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren in North Augusta, South Carolina from 2010-2023.

Lea passed away on February 14, 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky. She is survived by her daughter Andrea Boxley, her brother Lamont Boxley, and her grandchildren Ashley Gibson, Shawn Jackson Jr., Marissa Jackson and Damajeeá Boxley. She was a friend to all and will be missed dearly for her most unique personality.
