Margart Smith

June 21, 1935 – December 19, 2024

Margart "Maggie" Smith, 89, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024. Born on June 21, 1935, in Springfield, Missouri, to William and Lucille Jackson, Maggie brought creativity and warmth to all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Jon W. Glassford of Louisville, KY; daughters Margaret Diane Bell of Florida and Candy L. Fiorentino of Columbus, OH; as well as 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Smith; her parents; her sister, Betty Stephenson; and her brother, William “Bill” Jackson.

A devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan, Maggie was also a talented artist and craftswoman. Her passions included creating stuffed rabbits, floral arrangements, and beautifully knitted and crocheted items, which she shared with the world through arts and crafts shows across the Midwest.

Maggie’s creativity, kindness, and love for family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
