Robert "Bob" Leonard Mutchie

04/03/1951-12/5/2024

Robert "Bob" Leonard Mutchie, age 73, of Vine Grove, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on December 5, 2024. Bob was born on April 3, 1951, to Mary Margaret and Robert Arthur Mutchie, who instilled in him a sense of patriotism and love for his country.

Bob dedicated over 20 years of his life to military service, proudly serving in both the United States Marine Corps and the Army. His sense of duty, discipline, and strength carried over into every aspect of his life.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Pamela Mutchie, who was the love of his life and the source of his greatest joy. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Bob is lovingly remembered by his children, Annette Hicks (Jason) and Robert Mutchie (April); his 11 grandchildren, Kyle (MacKenzie), Brandon, Ray, Kayla (Devin), Brenna (Antonio), Lucas, Cameron, Samuel, Katti (Ethan), Robbie (Karina), and Taylor (Brandon); and 11 great-grandchildren, with another expected soon. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Peggy Mutchie; his niece, Julie, and her children; as well as step-siblings.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Allen Mutchie, and his beloved grandson Evan Mutchie, whom he is undoubtedly embracing in heaven.

Known for his quick wit and unparalleled humor, Bob had the remarkable ability to fill a room with laughter within minutes. Whether it was his signature jokes or his infectious smile, he brought joy to all who knew him. He cherished family above all else, and his happiest moments were those spent surrounded by his loved ones.

Bob had a love for life’s simple pleasures, from shopping for treasures on Amazon to watching movies at home. He adored spending time with his family, sharing stories, and basking in the love they shared. He especially treasured the tender moments he spent with Pamela, whose kisses were his favorite comfort.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
