Sandra Major

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Sandra Major, 69, on September 12, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Sandra was born on October 27, 1955 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the late Albert Womack and Joyce McCardle.

Sandra was retired and had been living in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky for the past two and half years. She was a great cook and loved to cook for her family and friends. She also loved the outdoors, from cutting grass on her riding lawn mower, planting flowers, working in the yard, and especially loved deer hunting and would often go with her son Dylan. Sandra loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Womack and Joyce McCardle; and her husband and love of her life, Karl Major.

Sandra is survived by her only son, Dylan Ramagos and his fiancé Brandy Elrod of Denim Springs, Louisiana; granddaughter, Kailegh Arceneax; two brothers, Mack Pitre of Panama City, Florida and Clint McCardle of Malone, Florida; sister, Melissa Johnson of Havana, Florida; two nieces, Natasha Alvarado of Phoenix, Arizona and Brittney Johnson of Blountstown, Florida; two nephews, Brent McCardle of Malone, Florida and Dakota Johnson of Crawfordville, Florida; and several great nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
