Shirley Ann Moody Hazelwood, 65, formerly of Portland in Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her heavenly father on December 8, 2020, with her daughter by her bedside. Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations in New Albany has been entrusted with her care.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Lafe Moody; a grandson, Zechariah Jade Moody; a companion of over 20 plus years, Monty Hoskinson whom she loved dearly.
Shirley is survived by her mother, Mary J. Diebold; her only child, Jessica Lee Moody; a nephew she raised as her own son, Buster Diebold Jr.; four brothers, Lynn Moody (Erma), Ray Diebold Sr. (Marlene); Buster Diebold Sr.; Frank Rose; two sisters, Peggy Moody Cox, Marsha Moody; a close and very special niece and friend, Lisa Moody; a special friend for many years, Kathy Moody whom she always loved like a sister; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and one great niece on the way, Raelynn Grace whom she would have spoiled rotten.
Mrs. Hazelwood will be forever loved and missed by her loved ones and friends.
