Bradley Whitfield Hardy

July, 26, 1957 - January, 09, 2021

Hardy, Bradley Whitfield “Whit”, 63, of Louisville passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

He is survived by his partner in life and love, Kathryn “Kathy” MacLeod, brother, Ben B. Hardy, Jr. (Ann), sisters, Elizabeth “Bunny” Hardy Kelton (Dave) and Elise Hardy Stein (Dennis), and nieces and nephews, Kathryn Hardy and her daughter Kaitlyn Hardy, Carolyn Hardy, Evan Hardy (Shelby), Sara Kelton Brelie (Matt) and their four children, Laura Kelton; preceded in death by mother, Virginia “Ginny” Whitfield Hardy and father, Ben B. Hardy and sister, Mary “Jina” Hardy.

Whit was born in Louisville on July 26, 1957 and graduated Westport High School. He touched many lives, being known as a friend that could be counted on to always be there whenever needed. Many of his friends could be more accurately described as his family by choice.

His great capacity for love extended to animals. As a child, he had many pets, including unusual pets from wildlife he befriended as they wandered into his five-acre yard at the end of Westport Road.

A celebration of life is being planned for July 24, 2021 when the weather will permit for an outdoor gathering.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky, Inc. -www.raptorrehab.org,  Wolfrun Wildlife Refuge and Educational Facility, Inc. - www.wolfrun.org, Second Chances Wildlife Center -  www.secondchanceswildlife.org, or another charity of your choice.
