Harold William Nielsen (Todd) Age 89

Todd, as he was known to family and friends, returned to his Heavenly Father on Feb 6, 2021.  He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on Oct 3, 1931 to the late Einar and Flora (Rasmussen).  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather Grover Myers, brother Donald (Shirley), Stanley (Marge) Nielsen.  Also preceding him in death were Tosha and Shali, two very special and dear pet Schnauzers who brought Todd many years of unconditional love and companionship.  He is survived by wife Bonn; son Michael (Lisa) and son Jon (Lisa); grandchildren Kelsey, Cal, Brittany, Emma, George; nephew Todd (Evie).

Todd served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.  He first retired after 32 years of service from American Can Company / Continental Forest Industries (Neenah Wisconsin).  Todd started a second career in health care in 1981 after joining Humana Incorporated.  Todd served in a number of positions and markets throughout his career with Humana, retiring in 1998.  

Todd was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Louisville for over 15 years.  Todd enjoyed music and was a member of the Louisville Dulcimer Society for 17 years.  He will be missed by family and friends, we are all thankful for the memories we have of him and how he has enriched our lives.  A private graveside burial service will be held at a later date in Neenah Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hosparus Health Hospice who were a great source of help and comfort in Todd’s final days.
