Jason Daniel Archibald, 48, left this world we know on Thursday, August 4, 2022 to be with the Lord. Born to proud parents, Sally and the late Floyd Kim Archibald on April 2, 1974, Jason possessed a strong constitution, big heart for the less fortunate, and creative artistic talent. As everyone knows Jason and I were the best of friends. We were pretty much inseparable while growing up, where there was one of us, there was the other. We loved to do everything there was to do or learn about in regards to life. We loved to play all sports, but our favorite pass-time was fishing. I’ll never forget the time i was working at McDonald’s drive through and here comes Jason pulling up, hanging the biggest bass id ever seen out the window saying “This one makes me the King Fish Meister Wafree, I had to show you, so you’d believe me!” About that time, the GM walked up and saw the size of this thing, and was like omg go put it back and I’ll make you a sandwich. So he did. He loved bragging to me about that bass to no end.
Then Jason started getting sick. Things looked promising at first, but every few years, something devastating would happen. I mean serious, serious problems. eventually the cancer and tumors did get him, but he fought like a champ through it all. I think he lived way longer than anyone ever thought he would. He wasn’t just a lion, he just wouldn’t ever give up, he was strong to the finish! What is most amazing about Jason is how he would never complain about his problems, and always shined rays of hope to others through his positive attitude.
There are many other adventures we shared, I’m gonna only choose a select few to share them with though. I love and miss you brother, you truly were a terrific brother to have shared time with, and i think about you everyday. I miss your kind heart, but you are still in, and always will be in our hearts.

One thing I will always remember about Jason is how observant he was. He was just a few months older than my daughter Melissa and his grandmother brought him over for her third birthday. They were busy playing with her kitchen set when his uncle walked into the room. Jason looked up at his uncle and after contemplating him for a moment said, My daddy is taller than you. His uncle looked at him for a moment before responding, Well Melissa is taller than you. We all laughed, of course, but Jason took it in stride, which was a pretty astute reaction for a 3 year old.
