Christy Carter, 56, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away at her home on February 4, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Yarnell.
Christy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Patrick Carter; children, Brandi (Joseph) Stover, and Devin Carter; mother, Joan Welch; sister, Dawn Welch; grandchildren, Jace Stover and Juliett Stover; nephews Brian and Josh Welch.
She loved spending her time cooking and baking, gardening, being outdoors, and swimming.
Christy was a beautiful soul, who in spite of having cancer 3 times, always put her family before herself. Her smile could light up the dark. Her influence will always be felt and remembered. All of our lives are better because of her presence. God speed, baby. I love and miss you beyond belief.

Thank you for all the years, the family, the companionship, the support, and all the love. I owe who I am to you. You are the first I want to see when I go, Lord willing. Caring for you in your final weeks was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It was devastating to see you like that. Your passing became a blessing when the Lord released you from that burden. Knowing you are there helps me down here. I love you, babe. I hope I don’t take too long.
