Chad Murl Faulkenburg

2/24/1965 - 7/5/2024

Chad Murl Faulkenburg, 59, of Corydon, IN passed away at home on July 5,2024, while holding his wife’s hand and surrounded by family. Chad was born on February 24, 1965 in Louisville, KY to the late Beulah Jane Redden and Robert Murl Faulkenburg.

At the age of 17 Chad joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis (WA) where he met his wife of 39 years, Andrea Lynn Faulkenburg. Chad told his wife that he had three goals in life: have a large family, own a home and a business. Together, they had four wonderful children: Amanda, Chad, Joshua, and Madeline, who they raised at their family home in Corydon, and as the owner of Data Network Technologies for 25 years, Chad was well respected by his community.

Chad was known by his family as a generous and good man, hard worker, and caring provider, who had a knack for making every person in his life feel special. He was always supportive of his children and would drop anything when they needed him. He adored his family, most of all his grandchildren, who he enjoyed driving around to view Christmas lights and spoiled them often. He was given the nickname “the baby whisperer” because his presence always seemed to soothe them.

Chad enjoyed fireworks, watching wrestling and basketball (especially UK), and country music. Some of his favorite places were Whitefish Point, MI and Mt. Rainer in WA, where he shared special moments with Andrea. You could find Chad and his wife at dive bars playing rummy or dining at fine restaurants; regardless, he was always in search of a good bowl of chili. He truly found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Chad was tremendously loved and will be missed by many.

Chad was one of my original customers at Graybar 25 years ago. He was a great influence on me and a wonderful friend. A kind thoughtful person who helped make me a better person. That is Chads legacy.

I met Chad through a business relationship 25 years ago. We became good business friends. We would stand in a parking lot after a job and talk and laugh. I know Chad loved his family, not only through his words, but you could hear it in his voice. I’m going to miss Chad. As I think we all will. Chad was a good man.
