Cheryl leaves behind her devoted wife of 25 years, Robin Wascher, and her cherished sister, Deborah Skelton. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Donald and Ruth Gurney.

Throughout her life, Cheryl embraced the beauty of nature and adventure. She found solace in the great outdoors, whether it was boating on tranquil waters, jet skiing with exhilarating speed, or camping under the vast expanse of the starlit sky. Cheryl's zest for life was infectious, and her enthusiasm for every moment she lived was truly inspiring.

A talented crafter, Cheryl poured her creativity into making jewelry, each piece a reflection of her vibrant spirit and artistic flair. Her passion extended beyond crafting; she was a fierce advocate for animals, with her own dogs being cherished rescues who brought immeasurable joy into her life.

Professionally, Cheryl excelled in the realm of numbers, holding a Bachelor's degree in accounting and serving as a CPA for many years in prestigious firms. She found fulfillment in her work, relishing the intricacies of financial management and the challenge of problem-solving.

Above all else, Cheryl will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the warmth she shared with all who knew her.
