Christine Marie Hammonds

Christine Marie Hammonds, 63, of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away on May 20, 2024. 

Proverbs 18:24, Friendly: Desiring to know and helps others 'A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.'

Christine was born in Chicago, Illinois into a large family. She had six brothers and five sisters growing up. 

Christine had a remarkable talent for baking, and she also had a passion for arts and crafts. She loved her bingo nights, her greatest joy, however was found in the company of family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne (Mark Bowman) Golec; grandkids, Tyson Houghland, Jacob Bowman, Aaron Bowman, and Caylee Bowman; brothers, Roger Golec, Donald Golec, and Danny Golec; sister, Jeanne Mae; several nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Hammonds; parents, Thomas and Florence Golec; sisters, Diane Flood, Elizabeth Walls, Patricia Miller, and Suzanne Wyrick; and a brother, Richard Golec. 

Christine was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. 

Cremation has been chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
