Diana Mason

02/28/1942-2/26/2024

Diana Rubel Mason, 81, passed away on February 26, 2024, two days before her 82nd birthday.  Diana most recently resided in Odon, Indiana, with her husband of 33 years, Harlan, his daughter Marion and her husband Michael Filley.  Diana was originally from Norwich, Connecticut, and graduated from Norwich Free Academy.  She worked in banks, grocery stores and retail stores over the years.  She also helped operate a laundromat with Harlan.  They moved from Connecticut to Virginia, to Florida and finally to Indiana, where Harlan still resides.

An avid reader of mystery novels, Diana read nearly every one at the Odon library and had new ones delivered from nearby libraries.  She described herself as being able to get lost in whatever book she was reading.  She was very devoted to her dog, Bella, taking her for walks around the yard in her wheelchair,

She was predeceased by her mother Florence LaPort Rubel, father Michael Rubel, and sister Elaine Suplicki all of CT.  Other remaining family live in CT and Massachusetts.  

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
