Dianne Edelen Hayden

Dianne Edelen Hayden was born on July 6, 1943 passed away August 2, 2023 at the age of 80.

Dianne was predeceased by her parents Joe and Eleanor Edelen, her sister Eleanor Carol Edelen and brother Joe David Edelen. Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Ben Hayden, sister Patricia Hammond (Garry), children Beth Browning (Bob), David Hayden (Amy) and Mary Queen (Micheal), grandchildren Jessica Hatton (Steven), Sara Lucas (Josh), Kayla Crask (Nick), Tyler Browning (Ellen), Sam Hayden, and Nicolas Hayden and great-grandchildren Arwyn Hatton, Colt Lucas and Jack Browning.

Dianne grew up in Springfield, KY where she attended St. Catherine’s high school and made many lifelong friends. In 1958 she met her husband Ben at a drive-in restaurant in Lebanon, KY where they had a chocolate milkshake. They were married in 1961.

Dianne worked as a surgical assistant in the Oral Surgery profession for over 50 years.

Dianne loved reading, vacationing at the beach, shopping (J Jill and Bacon’s Midnight Madness!), learning new things, and laughing. She loved nature by always taking pride in planting flowers, growing her violets, watching and feeding birds or simply having beautiful plants. Dianne loved to have a glass of wine with friends and family. She cherished traditions and held our family together by hosting holidays, birthdays and special occasions.

Despite her health struggles, Dianne lived life to the fullest. She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.

Our family is grateful to know that she is finally pain free and at peace.
