Eva Geniene Singleton

May 26, 1948 - December 13, 2023

Geniene Singleton, 75, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on December 13, 2023. Born on May 26, 1948, to William Campbell (father) and Eva Cleveland (mother).

Geniene is survived by her sister, Judith Gahimer, and husband Richard Gahimer and her sister Betty Campbell. She is also survived by her daughter, Amy, and granddaughter, Abby. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Eva Campbell, and brothers William E. Campbell of Pennsylvania and Robert M. Campbell of Charlestown, Indiana.

Geniene had a deep love for animals, with a particular fondness for horses. She enjoyed the companionship of pets and had a special connection with all creatures. Her love extended to cooking and baking, where she would share her culinary creations with family and friends.

An adventurous spirit, Geniene once proudly claimed bragging rights for catching a large snapping turtle. She found joy in fishing, listening to country music, and spending quality time with her loved ones. However, her most cherished bond was with her sister Judith (JuJu). Geniene and JuJu shared a unique and irreplaceable connection that only close sisters understand. They had a special song that symbolized their deep friendship.

In her professional life, Geniene served as a nurses' aid for many years, touching the lives of those she cared for with compassion and dedication. In the later years, she lived with Judith, reinforcing the bond between them.

Geniene leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and shared moments. Her warmth and kindness will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones who went before her.

A memorial service at the request of the family is Private.  No Public Services will be held.

Geniene Singleton's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort. I love you, I love you more. – Geniene
