Irene "Sue" Brown

Irene “Sue” Brown, 82, was called home on December 24th 2023 in Louisville, KY with her family by her side. A country girl from Danville, KY, Sue was born on October 5th, 1941 to James and Mary Alice Cox. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a CNA at Meadows South Nursing Home. Sue enjoyed old country music, playing bingo and watching her shows on TV. She loved cheering on her Kentucky Wildcats! Sue was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary A Cox; her brother, Jimmy A Cox; sister Linda Rednour; and her beloved daughter, Lisa Montgomery. She is survived by her devoted daughter and caregiver, Vicki Brandenburg (Chad); her cherished grandchildren, Chris, Anthony, William (Amy), Jessica (Mikey), Christy (David), Brittany, and Katie; great grandchildren, Jordan (James), Jaelyn, Chase, Cash, Camryn, Kenzley, Kaylee, Karis, Grayson, Kingston and Liam; three great great grandchildren; and her faithful furry companion, Tinka was by her side through it all and misses her dearly. Our family is grateful to know that she is finally pain free and at peace. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She was cremated per her wishes and there will be no service at this time. There will be a celebration of life at a later date for close friends and family.
