James Barrett,65, of Louisville KY, passed away on, February 12, 2024. Born on December 5, 1958, in Louisville. He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Barrett, and their cherished children, Jessie Barrett, Jessica Burrows, and Jake Barrett. James adored his grandchildren, Rey David Jasso and Cassie, whose laughter brought him immeasurable joy. He was a pillar of support and love to his siblings, Ron Barrett, Bud Barrett, and Eileen Heffermire, as well as to numerous nieces and nephews.

In life, James found solace and passion in the art of working on cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, his hands skilled in the craft of repair and restoration. He reveled in the camaraderie found at Mike Linnings in Louisville, KY, where good fish and even better company were always on the menu.

James earned his Diesel Mechanic certificate through the School of Hard Knocks and the art of busting knuckles, a testament to his dedication and perseverance in all endeavors.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert and Mary Barrett, his brother Dick Barrett, and his sister Rosie Hamilton. While James may have bid farewell to this world, his spirit lives on in the memories shared by those who were touched by his kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering love.

In the tapestry of life, James Barrett's thread was one of strength, compassion, and endless love. Though he may be gone, his legacy will forever remain a beacon of light guiding those who knew him. Rest easy, dear friend, knowing that you were loved beyond measure and that your memory will forever be cherished.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
