James Robert Holbrook

5/13/1962 - 6/6/2024

James Robert Holbrook, a gentle soul known for his quiet demeanor, kindness, and patience, passed away on June 6, 2024. 

James had a deep passion for golfing. He was also an avid lover of movies, history, and trivia. He loved to attend trivia nights with his sister, Beth. 

A man of few words, James’s presence spoke volumes through his actions. He was a dedicated caregiver to his mother, Shirley Holbrook, up until her final moments. His gentle touch and caring spirit were felt by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and quiet strength, reminding us all of the profound impact of a kind heart.

James is survived by his sister, Beth (Joe) Frazier; niece, Erica (Andy Somor) Frazier; nephew, Michael (Aubrie) Frazier; great nieces and nephew, Nadia, Noah, and LJ; and his dear friend, Linda Carol Hottinger. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ernest and Shirley Holbrook. 

There will be a memorial service for James on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm held at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
