Karla Leipold

Karla Leipold, 78, passed away peacefully at home from Alzheimer’s Disease. Karla was born in Oberursel, Germany and lived most of her life in Louisville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald McMillen; daughter, Susanne Howell; parents, Karl Leipold and Susanne Dorschner of Germany.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna McMillen, whom was also her full time caregiver and Nancy McMillen; grandchildren, Brandon (Nikki) Feusner, April Jordan, and Rebecca (David) Langdon; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters in Germany.

Our family wants to extend our gratitude to her hospice team at Hosparus Health of Louisville who cared for her alongside her daughter.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia cremations of New Albany, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements. There will be no visitation or memorial per Karla’s wishes.
