Lee Owen, 52, of Louisville, KY, passed away on February 26, 2024. Born on September 23, 1971, in Louisville to Michael Owen and Mary Fortner , Lee brought light and love to all who knew him.

Lee's memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife Natalie Owen, his father Michael Owen, mother Mary Fortner, and his siblings: Johnny (Stephanie) Simpson, Mary (Jeff) Embry, Brenda (Greg) Garner, and David Simpson. He also leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his 8 nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews.

A passionate musician, Lee was an integral part of the Louisville 502 music scene, sharing his talent and passion with countless audiences. His love for music led him to play in multiple bands across the Louisville area, where he enchanted listeners with his rhythmic mastery. Beyond performing, Lee found joy in creating music, teaching himself to play the drums and various types of guitars.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Lee was known for his kindness, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering loyalty to those he held dear. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Lee was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Fortner, his stepmother, Rosina Owen, and his grandparents. While his physical presence may be gone, the memories he created and the love he shared will endure for eternity. Rest in peace, Lee Owen. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives you touched.
