Patrick Davey Kavanagh passed peacefully in his home on May 3, 2024 surrounded by family (and his animal companions, Hank, Pippa, Larry & Talula). He is survived by his wife, Samantha Heavrin; his son, Adam Kavanagh (fiancée Jessica Henry); stepchildren, Lauren Archer (spouse Stephen Archer) and William Heavrin. He is also survived by his devoted and loving siblings, John Kavanagh and Bridget Kavanagh Howard (spouse Bill Howard); along with his nephews, Ian Kavanagh, Ryan Howard, and Thomas Howard.
Patrick had a grand sense of humor that he shared with everyone he met. He enjoyed comedies and thriller movies. He was an avid runner for most of his life. Patrick’s greatest joy and the thing which brought him the most pride was his son, Adam. He loved being a dad most of all.
Patrick was a proud graduate of Franklin University. He retired after a long and successful career at Nationwide. He spent his retirement renovating an old farm house with his wife. The two of them were looking forward to watching grand babies (both Adam and Lauren are expecting sons) and teaching them how to fish at the property pond.
Patrick will be greatly missed but his presence can always be felt on their little farmhouse property. A Celebration of Life will take place on June 1, 2024. Information regarding the Celebration of Life will be forwarded to family and friends. Please contact Samantha or Adam for more details.

Pat had an infectious laugh and a warm sense of humor. I had the pleasure to work with him for several years, and it was a blessing. Pat will be missed by many.
