Sheldon Samuels

 4/26/1967 - 5/2/2024

Sheldon Samuels, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky, embracing every moment with love and joy. Born on April 26, 1967, Sheldon passed away on May 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of positivity and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.

Proudly walking the halls of Louisville Male High School, Sheldon graduated with the class of 1986 before continuing his academic journey at Eastern Kentucky University. For over 28 years, he poured his heart and soul into serving the Jefferson County Public School system, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless students and colleagues.

Sheldon's greatest source of pride and joy was his beloved daughter, Shanda. As the ultimate cheer dad, he stood by her side with unwavering support, cheering her on through every triumph and challenge she faced. His love knew no bounds, and his devotion to his family was unmatched.

A passionate dog lover, Sheldon's heart belonged to his faithful companions, Carmel and Blue, whose companionship brought him immeasurable comfort and joy throughout the years.

Sheldon's energy was infectious, and his positive spirit lifted the hearts of all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed by his daughter, Shanda, his father, Fred, his aunt, Brenda Carr, his nephews Tyler and Rod Daniel, his extended family, friends, and the compassionate nurses who cared for him.

In the embrace of eternity, Sheldon is reunited with his beloved mother, Stephany, and his sister, Shelby, along with his cherished canine companion, Carmel, who brought him endless love and companionship for 13 years.

A pillar of his community, Sheldon was a longtime member of Southeast Christian Church and a dedicated volunteer for Mulligans Living Kidney Donors. His unwavering loyalty to the University of Louisville made him a die-hard fan through and through.

Instead of flowers, please consider supporting Sheldon's daughter, Shanda, whom he cherished above all else. A GoFundMe has been set up to assist her during this difficult time, following the loss of her father, who was her primary source of support. Your contributions will help provide for her needs and ease the burden of her loss. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Attending Male High School together, I remember Sheldon as such a happy guy. He always had a smile for everyone. Thanks to Facebook, all the Bulldog alum could keep in touch with everyone. It was clear that Sheldon loved his family fiercely. It breaks my heart that he is gone…but what an angel to have watching over us. 💔
