Tracy Pike
Tracy Pike,46, of Louisville, KY, passed away on January 27, 2024.Loving and devoted husband, father and friend to all. Survived by his wife and best friend of over 26 years, Angela; three teenage children- Conner (18), Jewel (15), Austin (14); “brother”- Martin McGee (Melanie) and their 2 children; brother in law- Joel Conner (Crystal) and their two children (Payton and Logan); and a host of niece, nephews, cousins and friends too many to mention.
Tracy was a devoted father and family man, always putting his children and his wife first before anything else. He loved the NY Giants and spent many a Sunday afternoons with his two sons, rooting their favorite teams on from his living room. He would forgo lazy Saturday afternoons to take his teenage daughter shopping to all of her favorite stores. His wife was the love of his life and best friend. He loved music, especially collecting old records. Johnny Cash, John Prine and the Drive By Truckers were some of his favorites. He loved hiking and nature and was a follower of Shamanism. Tracy was a licensed master electrician with the Local 369 Union and so proud of his job as the Chief of Maintenance for Humana Insurance.
Cancer hit him when he had so much life to live and so unexpectedly. He was strong and he fought fiercely, always more concerned about his family than himself. After a 13 month battle he is finally healed. He will be forever missed and remembered by all those that loved him. In his final days, he chose to allow all his friends and closest family to visit over the 10 days in the hospital and there was a party saying goodbye to him. To know him was to love him. He had a heart of gold.
A celebration of life was held at The Logan Street Market on Saturday February 17. His ashes will be scattered in some of his favorite places, at his wish.
