Richard Wayne Nicholson

Richard Wayne Nicholson, 65, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 10, 2020. He was born November 22, 1954, in Scottsburg, Indiana to Charles R. Nicholson and Doris G. "Jerri" (Begley) Brock, both who proceded him in death.

He graduated from Austin High School in 1973 and went to work at Cummins Engine company until his retirement after 30 years in 2004. On February 9, 1974, he married Trinda Johnson at Crothersville, Indiana.

Survivors include his wife, Trinda; daughter, Natasha (Glenn) Boschen, of Columbus, Indiana, and his son, Brinley Nicholson of Crothersville, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, Trinity Nicholson of Scottsburg, Bristol Nicholson of Carmel, Indiana; Kyndal, Ethan, and Sophie Boschen, all of Columbus; Rebekah (Stephen) Lortz of Columbus; and his beloved cat, Mae Mae. Also surviving are two sisters, Donna Nease of Scottsburg and Dianna Campbell of Austin; two brothers-in-law, Les (Regina) Johnson of Austin and Ralph (Charlene) Johnson of Palmetto, Florida; and his mother-in-law, Inez Carr of Scottsburg.

Per decedent's request, no service will be held and cremation was entrusted to Magnolia Cremations of New Albany, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scott County Humane Society, 1176 N Gardner St, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170 in form of monetary donations or needed shelter supplies.
