Akemi Bailey

Akemi Bailey, 36, of Gary, Indiana, made her transition on January 1, 2021.

Akemi was born December 18, 1984 to Alonzo and Gale Bailey. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Gary, Indiana. Akemi was a Buddhist and an active member of the SGI USA. She had a beautiful heart and a great personality, she was loved dearly by many.

She is proceeded in death by her father; Alonzo Bailey, one brother; Tomoaki Bailey, her grandparents; Purvis and Imogen Champion, Leroy and Sachiko Bailey.

She leaves behind her two beautiful children; Alonzo T. Bailey and Antonio T. Vaulx, her mother; Gale Bailey, her sister; Miyoshie Bailey and her two God brothers; Fred Pope Jr and Alonzo Demic. She is also survived by her mate; Danny Vaulx. Akemi will be forever remembered by many; four great uncles and great aunties, numerous cousin’s, family and friends.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of New Albany, IN, was entrusted with the arrangements.
