Claudette Hicks

Claudette Hicks (formerly Claudette Schutte) of New Albany passed away in her home at the age of 74 on Mother’s Day, May 9, 2021. She was a lifelong Catholic and graduate of Providence High School, class of ’64.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for 50 years, 35 of which were spent at Baptist Health Floyd in the surgical and endoscopy departments, where she worked with many great people and friends through the years. She is survived by her son Kevin C. Hicks, her daughter Erin Hicks, her sister and brother-in-law; Linda and John Milliser, and her two nieces; Amy Miller and Andrea Berndt, and their families.

Claudette had a unique sense of humor and her many quirks were always appreciated by family and friends. She was deeply loved and will be missed.

At Claudette’s request, there will be no service. Cremation will be handled by Magnolia Cremations, New Albany, IN. Donations in her name can be made to the American Humane Society or Southern Care Hospice in New Albany.
