With broken hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Achilles Andre Victor Cain Seward, affectionately known as “Bub”, who departed this life far too soon at the age of 16 on June 23, 2025.

Achilles was a gentle soul, kind-hearted, full of laughter, and known for always giving others the benefit of the doubt. He loved deeply and lived freely. Whether he was playing basketball, listening to music, traveling, visiting family, playing video games, or simply laughing with those closest to him, Achilles found joy in the little things and brought that joy to others. He had a special bond with both animals and people, his heart was always open, and his smile unforgettable.

He was preparing to enter the 10th grade for the 2025–2026 school year and had dreams and hopes for the future. But above all, his favorite moments were spent with his three closest cousins, Jaliyah, Antwan, and Kenya, who together were known as The Four Amigos, inseparable in love, loyalty, and laughter.

Achilles is survived by his loving mother Kendra Seward, his father Jerry McKinley, his brother Dominic Seward, and his two sisters Makia and McKenzie Seward. He was a proud uncle to five nephews and two nieces. He also leaves behind his maternal aunt Julie Seward-Wright and her husband Brian Wright, his maternal uncle Terry Seward, along with seven paternal uncles, and many beloved cousins including Jullian Edwards Sr., Jaliyah Edwards, Jasmine Edwards, Ariel Steele, and Antwan Young, and a host of extended family and friends who deeply cherished him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Howard Seward, maternal grandmother Judith Seward, maternal aunt Aundrea Seward, maternal great-uncles Jason Taylor and Mark Seward, maternal great-aunt Carolyn Bacon, cousin Allen Steele, and paternal grandmother Victoria McKinley.
