’Twas brillig when young Bill went
Where westward winds and wild things roam,
With paint and lens and wonder spent
On making stranger worlds feel home.
He helped the creatures, chased the sky,
He questioned much and laughed the more;
And every soul who wandered by
Went brighter than they were before.
He painted dreams and captured light,
Found wisdom tucked in strange delight;
No trumpets called, no banners bright—
When old Bill wandered past our sight.
An artist bound for worlds afar,
Returned at last to join the stars.
The family asks that memorial gifts be sent to your local animal shelter.

My memories of Bill Schneider will always be of a man with a great deal of patience, much love for his family and friends and a kindness that has been unmatched in my lifetime. I give my deepest condolences to those he left behind.
