Alexander “Alex” Michael McGuin, born on January 17, 2003, in Montgomery County, Indiana, passed away far too soon, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a circle of friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Alex was a devoted father to his beloved son, Corbin Kellogg of Indianapolis, Indiana, and his precious daughter, Ophelia McGuin of Camden, Indiana. His children were a bright light in his life and brought him immense pride and joy.

He is survived by his loving parents, Timothy and Sharon McGuin of Huntington, Indiana. Alex also leaves behind five brothers: Tynan (Jessica) McGuin of Huntington, Indiana; Trevor (Samantha) McGuin of Mount Etna, Indiana; Christian McGuin of Huntington, Indiana; TJ Edson of Kokomo, Indiana; and Mike Cleary of Marion, Indiana.

He is also survived by five sisters: Melissa (Kalon) Sprow of Macy, Indiana; Taryn (Austin) Fusselman of Huntington, Indiana; Jessica McGuin of Nashville, Tennessee; Rachel (Will Zimmer) McGuin of Bourbon, Indiana; and sister-in-law Lisa “Karma” Edson. Alex shared a special bond with his large family, and his presence will be deeply missed by each of them.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cathy Schearer of Zolfo Springs, Florida.

Alex enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his friends. He had a kind heart, a memorable smile, and a spirit that touched many lives. Though his time here was short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at The Awakening Church, 235 Safari Trail, Huntington, Indiana. A dinner will immediately follow the service. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Alex’s life together.

Alex and me were super close, I wish he wasn’t gone and I wish I could’ve said one last goodbye, he’s the best brother I’ve ever had. He was very sweet and looks just like me. Wish we were twins. He will be forever in my heart
