Andrew Mitchell was born on January 29, 1981, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born with cerebral palsy, Andrew faced challenges throughout his life that would have discouraged many. Instead, he viewed them simply as obstacles to overcome. On July 8, 2026, Andrew passed peacefully through Heaven's gates, surrounded by his loving family.
Andrew was the founder and owner of VoIPster Communications, Bedrock Fiber Group, and Customer First IT—businesses he built from the ground up through determination, intelligence, and an unwavering work ethic. Although he had been wheelchair-bound since the age of five, his disability never defined him or limited his ambitions. He earned two master's degrees, traveled extensively, became a highly respected Network Engineer, worked for several major companies, was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel, and ultimately fulfilled his dream of building successful businesses of his own.
Andrew was never one to accept the words, "You can't do that." He always found a way. He believed there was no obstacle too great to overcome, and he inspired countless people by proving that determination, perseverance, and faith could accomplish extraordinary things.
Those who knew Andrew were continually amazed by the depth of his knowledge. There were few subjects he couldn't discuss with insight, enthusiasm, and remarkable understanding. More important than his many accomplishments, Andrew was a devoted son, a loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, trusted business partner, and loyal friend. He possessed a genuine kindness that drew people to him and never hesitated to help someone in need.
For the last fourteen years, Andrew was far more than a business partner to me. He was my teacher, my brother in every way that mattered, and, above all, my best friend. His guidance, encouragement, and friendship shaped my life in ways I will never be able to fully express.
The world has lost one of its brightest minds, one of its kindest hearts, and one of its most honest and compassionate people. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of perseverance, generosity, and unwavering determination will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Terry Mitchell.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Mitchell; his brother, Aaron Mitchell (Keisha Mitchell); two nieces; three nephews; one great-nephew; his lifelong friend, business partner, and caregiver, Dan Robinson; and many extended family members, friends, colleagues, clients, and all whose lives were touched by his remarkable spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I’m deeply saddened by the loss of Andrew. I’ve known him since 2015, when he became my first freelance client and gave me a chance to prove myself through my work, not just my reviews or track record. That meant a lot to me, and I’ve always been grateful for it.
Over the years, working together on network engineering projects, I got to know him as more than just a client — he was kind-hearted, respectful, and always straightforward with me. I truly enjoyed working with him and respected him deeply. He’ll be missed, not just as a client, but as a good friend.

I had the honor and privilege of meeting Andrew through my working relationship with Dan. Andrew was probably the most intelligent man I’ve ever met. He would have a answers to questions I had not yet asked and his problem solving was beyond compare. I remember being in his office on several occasions, watching he and Dan “discussing” a complicated or technical issue with one of our many upgrades, as if they were brothers. I saw the passion he obviously had in his work and his visible friendship he had with Dan. And I appreciate his directness within the projects I had with him – Andrew did not pull punches. Though I was a “client” for Andrew, I will miss working with him. My sincerest condolences to Andrew’s family and friends for such a tremendous loss. God bless you, my friend!

First met Andrew as a business contact but soon became good friends. He always had a positive attitude and was one of the smartest people I ever met. Also, he enjoyed a good KENTUCKY bourbon. He will be missed.

There are so many memories to single out just one. It was a privilege for me to know Andrew not only from a business perspective but also as a dear friend. I truly believe Andrew is free from his physical limitations here on earth and now dancing with the Angels, telling them all his silly jokes!
I will definitely miss him but also feel relief/joy for him that he is now free from the mental and physical pain he dealt with on a daily basis. My deepest sympathies to his family and to Dan Robinson who attended to his daily needs, that all of you find some peace in knowing Andrew lived his short life to the fullest and now he is dancing with Angels.
