Anselm Martin Thomas

Anselm Martin Thomas, 75, passed away on December 17, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Laura Dahl Thomas; daughters, Anne Shannon Thomas and Rachel Thomas; son, Eric Thomas; brothers, Harry Thomas (Frankie) and Nick Thomas (Rita); sisters, Wilma Thompson and Lucille Spalding (Pat); grandchildren, Amberlyn Jarvis (Christopher), Dakota Bennett (Amber Nicole), and Leslie Brooke Stone (Kelly); eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved Sheltie, Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Kelly Thomas, Sr. and Mary Josephine Abell Thomas; brothers, Gerald Thomas, Kelly Thomas II (Libby), James Louis “Lum” Thomas, B.J. Thomas, and Jude Thomas; sisters, Veronica Hill, Nora Edna Lee, and Kay Spencer; and his grandson, Dylan Thomas Bennett.
Anselm was a 1968 graduate of St. Charles High School in Marion County, Kentucky. He was a former parishioner of St. Athanasius and a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Mt. Washington, Kentucky. Affectionately known as “A.T. Biggs,” he retired as a mill operator from Anaconda Aluminum/Novelis after 36 years of dedicated service.
Born and raised in Calvary, Kentucky, Anselm enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards, listening to music, watching old Westerns, and spending time with his family and his dogs.
