Anthony Alaniz

Feb. 23, 1961 - May 13, 2025

Anthony Alaniz, 64, passed away May 13, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Alaniz, beloved children,  son Alonzo Alaniz, daughter Taylee Alaniz, and  stepson Dylan Riley.

Anthony was preceded in death by Alonzo J. Alaniz (1936–1971) and Colretta Dawson (1937–2013), both of whom held special places in his heart.

Anthony enjoyed spending time with his kids, gardening, fishing, and watching sports with his son. He was always in search of knowledge and had a heart that never knew when to stop giving. With a loving personality, he was often considered a religious man and "the nicest guy you could ever meet."

Anthony will be deeply missed—not only by his family but also by his neighbors and closest friends.

A Tribute to Anthony Alaniz By Alonzo Alaniz

Anthony was a gifted athlete—a Golden Gloves boxer who won at the state level in Wisconsin at a young age. He went on to become the owner of multiple plumbing businesses and was a proud father of eight children, all of whom he encouraged to pursue higher education. A true jack of all trades, Anthony was skilled in wiring, mechanics, plumbing, and more. He also served his country with honor, having had a distinguished military career as a Green Beret, and he earned his wings from jump school.

Anthony fought until the very end, never wavering in his love for his children. Today, the world has lost a great man—but I’m proud to say that, through all the adversities, on the night he died, he also met Jesus Christ.
