Anthony "Tony" Stuart
7/2/1968 - 3/27/2024
Anthony Wayne Stuart (Tony), 55, was born to Robert Lee Stuart and Sharon Rose "Mahoney" Stuart on July 2, 1968 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana and went to his eternal home on March 27th, 2024 at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Stuart; brother, Mark Allen Stuart; and his grandparents.
Tony is survived by his Loving mother, Sharon Rose Stuart; four Beloved children, Kyle Greer (Rachel), Dawson Wayne Stuart, Emily Grace Stuart, and Evelyn Faith Stuart; two Beautiful grandchildren, Adelyn Rose Greer and Waylon John Petrie; niece, Tiffany Stuart; a great niece and nephew; several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and his forever loved girlfriend, Angie (Frazier) Denzik.
In recent years Tony enjoyed the quiet of country living in Paoli Indiana. His hobbies included fishing, photography, woodworking, watching old movies and sitcoms, watching the critters including his favorite cat and companion, Whiskers aka Fuzzy Butt. He also enjoyed taking long drives in his dad's old red truck while listening to his favorite classic rock and his favorite country artist, Kenny Chesney. As a child growing up in Parkwood subdivision in Clarksville, Indiana he was known to ride his bike for hours doing wheelies and jumping ramps until the sun went down, and hanging out with all of his very best friends.
Tony was a Jeffersonville High School Alumni from the 1980s. In his early years he worked as a skilled craftsman building countertops and later worked in several warehouse assemblies before he became ill in 2020 when he was diagnosed with liver disease.
Since then he had focused on trying to get well and spent as much time as he could with his extended family during their Sunday dinners, game times, and holidays. Taking those drives and looking at the sunrise, sunsets, and the stars with his girl, but what he looked forward to and cherished the most in his life were the moments and visits he shared with his children and grandchildren. He often said how much he loved each of them and how proud he was of them.
As Tony's illness progressed he fought to the end using everything the medical teams at Baptist Floyd and UofL Jewish could offer him. When he knew he had the opportunity to transfer to Jewish, where the specialists were, he told Angie he was going and that he had nothing to lose. At some point Tony had decided to become an organ donor, which was only known to him until after his passing. Because of this selfless decision he was able to give the gift of sight with his eyes to someone who couldn't see, soft tissue for someone needing a graft as he did from an injury to his hand in his 20s, and the ultimate gift of life with his precious Heart!
He is now known as HERO! that is Always Missed and Always Loved!
As his final wishes Tony chose cremation.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Wall Street United Methodist Church, 240 Wall Street, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
