Arlene Thornton, 47, passed away on December 2, 2024.

Arlene is survived by her beloved children: Jonathan and Autumn Thornton, and Darwind and Phoenix Dick. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas George Griswold and Ashten Griswold; her parents, Patricia Arlene Griswold and John Griswold; and her Husband, Thomas. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Cindy Dick, with whom she shared a deep and loving mother-daughter bond that brought joy and strength to both of their lives.

Arlene had a love for life’s simple joys. She was a bookworm who cherished reading, and her passion for coloring reflected her creative spirit. A coffee enthusiast, she especially loved her Starbucks runs. Her love for dogs was unparalleled—they were like her babies.

Her daughter Autumn described her as “a very beautiful, kind, and intelligent woman.” Arlene’s love for ladybugs held a special significance, and every sunset serves as a reminder of her enduring beauty and grace.

Despite the challenges she faced in life, Arlene showed resilience and strength, always finding a way to persevere. She will be remembered for her warmth, her love of family, and her unique ability to bring light into the lives of those around her.

A private celebration of life will be held to honor her memory.
