Beverly Kay Cates

Beverly Kay (Williams) Cates, age 74 of Jeffersonville, IN went to be with the Lord February. 15, 2024. surrounded by family, love and prayers.
Beverly was born on June. 28 1949 in Evansville, IN to the late Benjamin and Gracie Williams. Beverly was a Harrison High School graduate, class of 67’, she went on to become a cosmetologist and then became a mother in 1971, her hobbies included playing piano as often as allowed, she was a woman of unwavering faith and spent countless time worshipping the Lord the way she knew best behind the microphone at church, Beverly was an outstanding “by ear” pianist and singer. Beverly enjoyed all the luxuries of life and was well known as a “diva” but nothing was more important or held more value than those she loved. Beverly was a devoted, passionate, caring and loving woman.
Beverly is survived by her children Marteena Griffin, Christopher (Angel) Griffin; grandchildren LaRicka (Micah) Lewis, Davonte (Ksenia) Griffin; Great-grandchildren Kaiden Lewis, Braylin Lewis, Kylie Lewis and Nova Griffin. Step- Children, Joey Griffin( Kim ),Glenda Deew.
Beverly is also survived by many loving family members; Roy and Barbra Griffin (Lisa) Brenda Render (Angie, Scott) a few friends and all the staff that showed Beverly affection, love, care and kindness at River Bend Memory Care facilities.
In addition to her parents, Ben and Gracie Williams Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Glen G. Cates, nephew Brian Griffin and many brother and sisters in Christ.
A wake in remembrance of Beverly will be held at:
4111 Klerner Ln., New Albany, IN 47150 Where all her family and friends are welcome and asked to join at 2:00PM on Sunday, February. 18, 2024.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
