BG Barrett

May 23, 1955 - October 30, 2023

BG Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky left this world on October 30, 2023, at the age of 68, surrounded by his loving family at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

BG was born on May 23, 1955, in Booneville, Kentucky, to Johnny Green Barrett and Annie S. Barrett. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brothers, William David Barrett and Jean Miller; his sister, Sharon Barrett; his daughter, Beth Ann Barrett; and granddaughter, Kadence Denise.

BG's legacy lives on through his four children, Bryan Barrett, Terissia Barrett, Lindsay (Aaron) Venters, and Brittany Profitt, his step-daughters, Mandy Murphy and Patty Profitt, his 14 grandchildren, Marcus (Kayla) Barrett, Tristan Carver, Lexie Carver, Branson Barrett, Bryan "Bry-Bry" Barrett, Laynie Barrett, Trinity Barrett, Braxton Gabrielle, Israel "Izzy" Spence, Carson Profitt, Haven Profitt, Kane Reams, Enzlee Reams, Lakeland Reams, and two great-grandchildren, Ryker Carver and Mahayla Barrett, and his step-grandchildren, Levi Gibbs, Khloe Profitt, and Bradley Profitt. 

He is also survived by his sisters, Marie Braun and Linda Combs, and his brothers, Leonard Herald, Claude Barrett, and Michael Barrett, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and his best friend, Dave Ferguson.

BG's passion for life extended to watching the Bengals play and cheering for UK basketball. His infectious laugh and ever-present smile will forever be etched in our hearts. He found immense joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow, play, and succeed.

A celebration of life is planned for the coming spring in his childhood home of Booneville, Kentucky. BG Barrett's memory will forever remain a source of inspiration and love in our lives.
