3/6/1957-11/29/2024

Bruce Allen Blankenship was born on March 6,1957 in Hohenwald, TN. On November 29,2024, he passed away at the age of 67. He grew up in the Woodbine area of Nashville. In his adult life, he lived in Murfreesboro, Cedar Hill, Dover, Nunley. TN and Greenville, KY. He loved classic cars, bodybuilding, Key West, swing dancing, his dogs Pika and Baby and his cat Kitty Kitty. He was always showing off his muscles to the ladies and trying to cut up and flirt with all of them. He always said his dream job was to be a beach bum. His daughter Faith was his pride and joy even if he told everyone that she lived in the wrong city "Madisonville, WI."  Many people said that he looked like Burt Reynolds in his younger days.

Preceded in death by his parents Pearl and Bill Blankenship. He is survived by daughter Faith Elizabeth Blankenship Robinson, brother Billy (Dayna) Blankenship. Nieces and Nephews Matthew, Greg, Amber, and Sarah. Great Nieces and Nephews Rachel, Hannah, Alyssa, Elijah, Mackenzie, Katherine and Nick. He especially loved to give Nick a hard time.

He had been sick for many years with high blood pressure. He had a stroke about 10 years ago. He has been on dialysis for 5 years. He has been very sick and in pain for many years. We are glad his pain is over. He died of a heart attack. All his medical staff at Fresenius Dialysis Medical Care are amazing and have taken great care of him through Dialysis no matter how hard headed he was! :)

The service date has not been finalized at this time. The service will occur in the spring or summer of 2025 to spread the ashes in Hohenwald, TN in Cane Creek.
Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
