Carole Jean Jones

In loving memory of Carole Jean (Kruse) Jones, who gracefully departed from us on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 83.

She is survived by her sister Elaine Russell and husband Ted, her daughter Vickie Lynn Jones, her son Michael Alan Jones and his wife Karen, and her cherished grandson Shawn Jones and his wife Courtney, along with their children Dominick, Aubree, Chase, and Alivia. Carole's love extended beyond her immediate family to numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, enriching their lives with her gentle spirit and unwavering support.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents Mary Catherine and Louis Kruse, her brother Dennis Lee Kruse, and her sister Diana Hayes Whisman. Her step-father Howard "Bud" Hayes of 62 years also precedes in death. 

Carole's professional journey saw her dedicated service to Humana and the Census Bureau, where her work touched countless lives with compassion and dedication.

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from her cherished memories at Mercy Academy to the rhythmic joy of square dancing.

An avid collector, Carole's passion for hand-blown glass artwork and paintings by her childhood friend, the esteemed Louisville artist Tony Oswald, reflected her appreciation for beauty and creativity.

In honoring Carole's memory, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience, spreading warmth and compassion wherever we go. Rest peacefully, dear Carole, knowing that your love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know you.
