Caroville Kaye Barker

Caroville Kaye Barker, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on June 26, 2024. Born on July 9, 1969, Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Eunice, and her daughter, Casey Firkins.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan Firkins; her mother, Patricia Barker; her sisters, Kim and Renee; her daughter and son-in-law, Orlenna and Riley; her son, Jerry Dean Firkins; her honorary son, Robbie Stark; and her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Bella, Brysan, and Aria.

Kaye loved the simple things in life. Whether she was curling up with a book, being outside with nature, or spending time with her critters, her greatest joy was her family and friends. Kaye was a force of nature who did not sugarcoat her speech, and we are all the better for it. The world will be overall duller without her spirit to brighten it. Kaye was an extraordinary daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose memory will be carried on.

A memorial service will be held, with updates provided once details are finalized.
