Cathy Gaines

Cathy Joanne Gaines, 72, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on February 22, 2026.

She is survived by her daughter, Aisha Goldman; son, Levi Gaines; grandchildren, Jennifer Goldman, Tyler Goldman, Bentley Gaines, Addy Gaines, Athena Gaines, and Eva Harbeson; mother, Ruby Hamm; siblings, Michael Hamm, Marsha Zackchewski, Sandy Sandoval, Cindy Kelley, Johnna Pearson, and Robert "Bob" Hamm Jr. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Hamm; and her aunts, Doris Hines Holmes and Ruth Street. 

Cathy loved bird watching with her best friend, Loni Robinson, spending time with her grandkids and the rest of her family, nature walks, and cleaning. 

She was a proud LPN; she received a Magna Award during her time working as a nurse. She spent her life caring for others and taking care of their health and well-being. She was very passionate about her job and her family. 

She was a proud Christian who loved Jesus. She would spend her alone time reading her Bible and giving praise to the Lord. She was selfless when it came to her family, giving them love unconditionally. 

Cremation was chosen, and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
