Charles Wernz

Charles Wernz, 58, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on August 27, 2024. Born on October 1, 1965, to Charles and Helen Wernz in Terre Haute, Indiana, Charles was a kind and thoughtful soul who cherished his family and passions. He is survived by his beloved children, Reece and Haley Wernz.
An avid reader, Charles had a deep love for history and could often be found enjoying historical documentaries. He adored his dogs and was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana State University sports teams. A proud graduate of Indiana State University, he spent his career in radio advertising sales.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Helen Sullivan Wernz. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I just found out that Chuck had passed away, sadly. I was a friend of his from college days at Indiana State. We were both Founding Fathers of the Indiana Eta Chapter of Phi Kappa Psi (Chartered 1987). I have let Nationals in Indianapolis know of his passing so that he will be listed in Chapter Eternal in the Winter issue. I believe Chuck may have been Badge #30. Many good times! Rest in Peace and our sympathies to his children.
