Dale Wesley Dennis, 76, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026.
Dale was born on August 18, 1949, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Henry and Lennie Mae Dennis. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those around him.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Mindy Lou Clark; his sisters, Cynthia Weir and Anita Saulsgiver; his cherished grandchildren, Laken (Joseph) Quinkert, Chenaniah Clark, Dillinger Clark and Brintey Wes Clark and his treasured great-granddaughter, Josie Mae Quinkert. Dale also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will fondly remember him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Wesley Dennis; his mother, Lennie Mae Dennis; and his sister, Mary Lynn Allen.
Dale had a passion for the simple joys in life. He loved fishing, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, and could often be found tinkering away, fixing someone’s lawnmower or helping a friend in need. He had a special place in his heart for animals, lovingly referring to his four-legged companions as his “kids.” His beloved Mandy, Mork, Tanner, has reunited with him, while his faithful companion Gigi remains to carry his memory forward until they meet again.
A proud patriot, Dale served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 as a Vietnam veteran. He received two stars for his bravery and dedication during his service.
Dale will be remembered for his kind heart, his willingness to help others, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Services will be on April 11 at 1 pm, held at Hour of Power Light and Life Mission 108 W Main St, New Albany, IN 47150
