Dale Lewis Flint, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on November 10, 2025.

Born on June 15, 1957, in Louisville, Dale was the beloved son of Robert Lewis and Susie Lee Flint. Known for his generous heart, quick sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty, Dale touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A proud graduate of Central High School, Dale went on to serve his country in the United States Army, where he distinguished himself as a Marksman, M16 Expert, and Grenade Specialist. After completing his military service, he dedicated 18 years to Centerplate at Churchill Downs in Louisville, where he worked as a cook and was admired for his strong work ethic, skill, and easygoing spirit. Dale also spent many years working as a professional painter, a craft in which he took great pride.

Dale is survived by his four sons: Derquon Sutton, Kenielle Sutton and Ian Sutton, Dalwan Thomas; his stepson, Carlton Hinkle; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Alma Hornbrak, Jacqueline Flint, Julie Flint and Tracy Flint.

He was proceeded in death by his Aunt Velma Jones; and siblings James Jones, Georgia Jones, Bonita Jones, and Melinda Moore.

Dale was previously married to Kathleen, with whom he shared 18 years of marriage. He will also be remembered with love by his best friends Angela, Myra, Tony, and Bobbi, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Dale enjoyed parties, painting, music, sports, cars, clothes, fishing, working with his hands, watching westerns, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he will be remembered for his laughter, his storytelling, and the warm, welcoming spirit he shared so freely with others.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the life of Dale Lewis Flint, for the joy, love, and laughter he brought into the lives of all who knew him. May his soul find peace and rest in Your eternal care. Comfort his family, friends, and all who mourn his passing. Let the memories of his kindness, generosity, and spirit inspire us to live with love and compassion. Surround them with Your presence, grant them strength, and fill their hearts with hope that they may one day be reunited with him in Your heavenly kingdom.
