Dale M. Turon
7/18/1956 - 1/13/2026
Dale M. Turon, 69, of Kokomo was welcomed home in heavenly glory on January 13th, 2026. He was born on July 18th, 1956 in Wyandotte, Michigan.
In Dale's younger years, you could always catch him outside in the sun getting a tan. One of his favorite places to be was in Florida on the water. He enjoyed boat fishing, catching bugs for his at the time younger children, going to the park and outings, he enjoyed grilling and was an amazing cook. Most of all he loved sharing every moment with his kids.
Dale was a professional cement finisher for many years and worked alongside his father, Joe. After his dad's passing, Dale selflessly cared for his mother until her passing in 2004.
In his later years, he devoted most of his time being the best dad and proudest papa. He loved talking on the phone, just about every day, to his daughter and grandchildren. Some of his most cherished moments and things he often looked forward to were birthdays and holidays. He loved the quality time and he loved his daughters cooking, the two both shared a love for cooking and he taught her from an early age. Dale was never absent from a birthday and loved tossing around balloons with his grandkids. They were the apples of his eye and he delighted in every milestone, weight check, doctor or dentist appointment, and any update. Dale was also a firm believer in Jesus Christ and he made it his priority to always be praying for his family. He was a proud member of Signs Of God Ministries in Kokomo, IN, where his son in-law Pastors.
His love language when his kids were young was to always come back with something sweet or something he knew they would like, though he continued things like that even as his kids got older &especially when his title upgraded to "Papa". He loved to spoil his grandkids! Anyone who knew Dale would say he had a heart of gold. He effortlessly made those around him feel seen and heard and he was never too busy to just sit, listen, and be there. He also noticed the smallest of details like if his daughter freshly did her hair or nails, he would notice clothes, haircuts, etc, and he would always say how nice it looked. His favorite compliment to give was, "you look like a million bucks".
One thing Dale was most thankful for was his close bond with his daughter Chelsea and described her as his "A number 1". They were bestfriends and the legacy of his love and all he was, will continue to live through her and be spread to the lives of his grandchildren.
Dale leaves behind his daughter and son in-law; Chelsea (James) Carpenter, 4 beloved grandchildren; Izabella, Adoniah, Lilly, and Joshua, and 1 brother; Gary Turon. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Turon and Virginia (Podgorski) Turon, and his son Joseph S. Turon, whom he is now reunited with. Dale opted for cremation and will have a private memorial service at a later time.
