Dale Steven Jahn

Dale Steven Jahn, 66, of Nabb, Indiana passed away on October 3rd, 2025 after a courageous battle with Systemic Scleroderma/Sclerosis. He was born to Donald Earl Jahn and Sue Ann Dunn on January 26th, 1959, in New Albany, IN. Dale, a devout Catholic whose unwavering faith formed the foundation of his life, was a long-time parishioner of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sellersburg followed by St. Michael’s in Charlestown.

He graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1977, and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University Southeast in 1986. Dale was a respected and skilled automotive service adviser at Jim O'Neal Ford in Sellersburg where clients came to rely on his honesty and clear communication, earning the trust and loyalty of countless customers. As a man of many skilled trades, he also worked at various jobs as a mechanic, sheet metal worker, welder, and automotive store manager.

He enjoyed listening to music (70’s rock and roll), watching movies, and working on cars. Dale’s storytelling and exceptional work ethic will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Jahn.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Diana Hawkins (Adam), his mother Sue (Dunn) Jahn, his siblings, Kathryn ‘Kitty’ Crawford (David), Donald ‘Don’ Jahn, and William ‘Bill’ Jahn (Michelle), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
